1.The high-lift pump for low lift pumping
Many machines that pump lift the lower hand, the smaller the motor load. Misleading in this misperception, the purchase pumps would often choose very high lift pump. In fact, for Centrifugal Pump, when the pump model is confirmed, the size of its power consumption is proportional to the actual flow pump. The pump flow rate will decrease with the increase in lift, so the higher the lift, the smaller the flow, the smaller the power consumption. Conversely, the lower head, the greater the flow, the greater the power consumption. Therefore, in order to prevent motor overload, pump generally require the actual pumping head using the head not less than 60% of calibration. So when high-lift pump for low head, the motor is easy to overload and fever, severe motor can be burned. If the emergency use, you must upload an outlet pipe of the valve for regulating the amount of water to reduce the flow, to prevent motor overload. Note that the motor temperature, motor overheating if found, should be promptly turn down or shut down the outlet flow. It is also prone to misunderstanding, some machines that plug outlet hand, forced to reduce the flow, will increase the electrical load. In fact just the opposite, regular high-power Centrifugal Pump irrigation units are equipped with a valve on the outlet pipe, in order to reduce the unit to start the motor when the load valve should be closed until the motor starts and then gradually open the valve is the truth.
(2) Large diameter pipes pumping water pump with a small
Many machine hand that this can increase the actual head, in fact, the actual pump head = total head - loss of lift. When the Centrifugal Pump model is confirmed, the total head is certain; loss of lift mainly from the pipeline resistance, obviously the smaller the diameter the greater the resistance, and thus the greater the loss of lift, so reducing the diameter, the pump can not only increase the actual head , but will decrease, resulting in pump efficiency. Similarly, when a small pump with a large diameter pipes pumping, the pump will not reduce the actual head, but will decrease due to the resistance of the pipeline decreases the loss of lift, the actual head increased. There is a chance that a small hand pump with a large diameter pipes pumping, it will surely greatly increase the electrical load, they believe that the diameter increases, the outlet pipe where the water pressure on the big water pump impeller, which will greatly increase the electrical load. As everyone knows, only with the size of the liquid head pressure level, but not with cross-sectional area of pipe size. As long as a certain lift, water Centrifugal Pump impeller size constant, no matter what the diameter, the pressure acting on the impeller are certain. But diameter increases, the flow resistance will be reduced, leaving the traffic has increased, power consumption is also an appropriate increase. But as long as the nominal head range, regardless of how to increase the diameter of the Centrifugal Pump is working correctly, and also can reduce the line loss and improve pump efficiency.
