Nippon Paint introduces a coating system
Japan Classification Society (NK) announced on January 5, 2012 that it has approved a primary coating system for ballast coating as a new replacement system that meets IMO's PSPC requirements.
Developed by Nippon Paint Marine Coating, the new coating system is the first approved system that replaces the existing secondary coating, including the SI (self-examination) function, and displays the coating thickness with color variations. After confirmation by the relevant regulatory authorities, the system will begin to be used in the marine sector.
