2" Fifth wheel Connection Kingpin Used Semi-trailer Spare Parts introduction:

1. A king pin is a heavy metal cylindrical pin that is located underneath the front end of the trailer.

2. 50(2inch) and 90(3.5 inch) kingpins with bolt can be exchanged with Chengyu parts.

3. Kingpin material is 40CR, 27SIMN structural alloy steel, CNC machining, with cuenchind and tempering.
4. The kingpin bolt is high strength lock type.

5. The king pin is the mechanism on the trailer that locks it to a road tractor. It is typically positioned between 18" to 48" from the trailer nose. A greased metal grid plate surrounds the kingpin. This grid plate allows the fifth wheel to slide underneath the trailer.

6.When the tractor is backed into the nose of a trailer, the fifth wheel pivots and slides underneath the trailer's grid plate.

The fifth wheel then locks onto the trailer's king pin.
