The spiral classifier is a key equipment in the mineral processing industry, used to separate materials based on their density and sedimentation rate. Fine particles are carried away by water while coarser particles settle at the bottom. This device allows for efficient material grading, with coarse materials being returned to the feeding system and fine materials discharged through a pipe. The machine's structure includes channel steel for the base, armor plate for the body, and cast iron for the spiral shaft, ensuring durability and long service life. It offers two types of lifting mechanisms—electric and manual—and is available in four configurations: high weir single and double spiral classifiers, and immersed single and double spiral classifiers.

Spiral Classifier - Working Principle

Grinded pulp is fed into the tank through an inlet located in the middle of the settlement area. The slurry classification occurs in the inclined tank, where the low-speed rotating spiral stirs the slurry, allowing fine particles to rise and coarse particles to sink. The overflow weir is positioned above the bearing center, which is under the screw shaft, and is located beneath the overflow end.
