In order to meet the national III emission standards, domestic heavy truck companies have upgraded their engine technology this year. Heavy truck market declined last month
It is precisely because of the expectation that the State III heavy trucks will increase their prices, and the early consumption of the heavy truck market in the first half of this year has caused a hot scene in the entire heavy truck industry. In the first five months of this year, the heavy truck market saw a booming market for production and sales. From January to May, the sales of heavy trucks in China was approximately 318,000 units, a year-on-year increase of more than 50%. The goal set by the mainstream heavy truck companies at the beginning of the year to complete 60% of the annual sales tasks can be basically achieved. From January to May of this year, China Heavy Duty Truck produced and sold 63,000 heavy-duty vehicles, an increase of 45% year-on-year, and achieved the goal of double-half production and sales one month ahead of schedule. However, in the first half of the year, the two major factors driving the high-speed growth of the heavy truck industry, namely the increase in the price of State III heavy trucks and the overdraft in the second half of the year, will have a negative impact on the development of the heavy truck industry in the second half of the year. Many heavy truck companies reported that orders for June decreased by 40% to 50% from May. Some enterprises have previously complained about the problem of insufficient capacity and turned into excess capacity. Guosen Securities further predicts that after the rapid sales decline in June, the heavy truck industry business cycle will soon peak, and sales growth in 2008 will fall back to 10%.
