Brush fire in Streamwood, 4-4-15
On April 4th, 2015, the Streamwood Fire Department responded to a brush fire in a wooded area south of Deerfield Drive. The fire was quickly contained and cleared within a few hours. However, due to a general callback, multiple units were sent to the scene, including both Engine 32 and Reserve Ambulance 32. It seems like the communication system had a hiccup, leading to an unnecessary duplication of resources. Despite that, the crew handled the situation efficiently, and the area was back to normal shortly after.
