Gordon Judd Joins Nationwide Boiler as New Business Development Executive

Fremont, CA, October 3, 2022 Nationwide Boiler Inc., a pioneer in the rental boiler industry, has announced the appointment of Gordon Judd as its new Business Development Executive. In this role, Judd will focus on advancing the company’s sustainability initiatives and driving the necessary changes to support decarbonization efforts across the industry. His responsibilities also include supporting sales for Nationwide Boiler’s full range of rental, new, and used package boilers, air pollution control systems, feedwater equipment, controls, and related technologies, with an emphasis on building lasting relationships with both current and potential clients. Gordon Judd brings over two decades of experience in managing critical utility infrastructure. He has played a key role in developing renewable energy projects, including solar, geothermal, and carbon capture and storage. Most recently, he led a groundbreaking water recovery project in downtown San Francisco that achieved a capacity of 30 million gallons per year—far exceeding expectations and helping the city meet its 2025 reuse goals six years ahead of schedule. Judd holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cal Poly, a Master’s in Nuclear Engineering from the U.S. Navy, and an MBA from Golden Gate University. As the industry moves toward cleaner, more sustainable alternatives for boilers and fired equipment, Nationwide Boiler remains committed to innovation and environmental responsibility. The company is investing in technologies such as selective catalytic reduction (SCR) for reducing NOx and CO emissions, electric boilers for zero-emission production, and future hydrogen-fueled systems. “We first partnered with Gordon 21 years ago when we provided a rental boiler and CataStak™ SCR system for NRG’s district energy steam plant in San Francisco,” said Larry Day, President and CEO of Nationwide Boiler. “Later, we worked with him again on several projects involving permanent boilers and urea-based SCR systems for ultra-low NOx performance. His background in managing large-scale energy operations gives us a unique customer perspective, and his expertise in renewables makes him a valuable asset as we continue our journey toward sustainability.” For over 55 years, Nationwide Boiler has delivered temporary and permanent boiler solutions to industrial facilities around the world. In the early 1990s, it became the first rental boiler company to convert its entire fleet to low NOx boilers and introduced the CataStak™ SCR system for ultra-low emissions compliance. The CataStak has proven its effectiveness, with over 200 installations and a strong return rate from satisfied customers. In addition to the CataStak, the company offers new and rental boilers equipped with ultra-low NOx burners and electric boiler packages for zero-emission applications.
