Maoming Petrochemical Air Separation Plant completed and put into operation total investment of more than 6 billion yuan
On October 11, Maoming Petrochemical's 90,000 standard cubic meters/space-time unit was completed and put into operation. It began to provide qualified oxygen and nitrogen products for refinery overhaul and coal-to-hydrogen hydrogen production. The project is an important supporting device for Maoming Petrochemical's 200,000 standard cubic meters per hour coal-based hydrogen production plant. It uses an air-cycle double-pump compression process and has a total investment of more than 6 billion yuan. It started on March 15, 2012. The project is jointly established by Maoming Petrochemical Company and French Liquefied Air (China) Investment Co., Ltd. with a contribution of 50% each. It is currently the largest air separation plant with the largest single unit in China.
