The "Ultraphotometric Absorber H2S Concentration On-line Measuring Instrument" and the "UV-IS UV Spectrophotometry SO2 Concentration On-line Measuring Instrument," developed by Nanhua Research Institute, have successfully passed the technical appraisal organized by the Science and Technology Development Department of the Group. These advanced instruments represent significant progress in real-time gas monitoring for industrial applications.
The "Ultraviolet Luminosity Absorption H2S Concentration On-line Measuring Instrument" addresses the challenge of accurately measuring hydrogen sulfide (H2S) levels in acid gas entering the Claus furnace within sulfur recovery units. The device features an innovative pulse-powered circuit and a high-intensity UV source with an auxiliary cathode, ensuring a lifespan of over three years. A high-temperature measurement cell has been specifically designed to prevent condensation of the sample gas, enhancing measurement accuracy. Its single-cell, single-light path design with no moving parts ensures a simple structure and reliable operation. After three years of field testing at Yangzi Petrochemical's Aromatics Plant and Olefins Plant, the instrument has demonstrated excellent performance—providing accurate, stable, and user-friendly results that meet the demands of on-line H2S concentration analysis in production environments.
Similarly, the "UV-IS UV Absorbance Method for SO2 Concentration On-line Measuring Instrument" introduces a high-intensity ultraviolet light source with a service life of up to two years. The system is controlled via an electric heating program, offering automatic balancing, zero return, and fault diagnosis capabilities, which ensure long-term stability. With its single-cell and single-light path configuration, the instrument maintains a straightforward design and ease of maintenance. Additionally, a three-stage dust sampling system, developed with independent intellectual property rights, effectively addresses the challenges of dust and moisture removal in flue gases from coal-fired boilers.
