New apparatus for Aurora FD
Larry Shapiro recently visited Aurora and captured images of three new fire apparatus deliveries. The Aurora Fire Department has been updating its fleet, and these new units are now in service.
Engine 1 received a 2012 E-ONE Cyclone II MFD 1500/750/30B top-mount pumper, with serial number 137594 and Aurora ID 33-855. This modern unit replaces an older model, bringing improved performance and safety features to the department.

Previously, Engine 1 was equipped with a 1992 E-ONE Protector TC 1500/750/50, which served the department for many years before being replaced.

Even earlier, Engine 1 operated with a 1975 Hendrickson 1871S/Pierce 1250/750, a classic piece of firefighting equipment that has since been retired.

Engine 10 also got a new unit, a 2012 E-ONE Cyclone II MFD 1500/750/30B top-mount pumper with serial number 137595 and Aurora ID 33-845. The previous vehicle assigned to Engine 10 (Aurora ID 33-877) was featured in a previous post.

The old Engine 10 was a 1996 E-ONE Protector TC 1500/750/50, which has now been replaced by the newer model.

Truck 6 was also upgraded to a 2012 E-ONE Cyclone II MFD 0/0 HP95 RM tower ladder, with serial number 137593 and Aurora ID 33-827. This new unit is designed for high-reach operations and offers enhanced capabilities.
