Engine 113 got to work quickly by hooking up to a hydrant and deploying two hose lines. Meanwhile, Truck 26 was up on the roof, cutting into it to ventilate the area. We had the Squad and Rescue Van staged further back, ready to assist if needed.
Attached here are some photos I snapped during the incident. The first one shows Chicago FD’s Truck 26 hard at work. In another shot, you can see smoke billowing from the two-flat where the fire broke out. There’s also a picture of Engine 113 all set up with its lines stretched, and finally, a view of Tower Ladder 14 in action.
