North Aurora is added to the site

At the North Aurora Fire Protection District, located within MABAS Division 13 in Kane County, you'll find two strategically positioned fire stations that play vital roles in maintaining public safety. Station 1 serves as the primary hub for operations, housing not only the department's two ambulances but also the battalion chief, two frontline engines, and a state-of-the-art tower ladder. Adjacent to this main station, there’s a secondary building dedicated to special teams, featuring multiple technical rescue team (TRT) units and even a specialized watercraft for water rescues. Station 2, while smaller, still plays a crucial role with its complement of two engines—one serving as the frontline unit and the other acting as a backup. The frontline engine at Station 2 happens to be an E-ONE model, renowned for its durability and efficiency. The fleet of fire suppression vehicles includes a mix of models sourced primarily from Pierce Manufacturing. Among them are a 1986 Arrow engine, a 1996 Lance, a 2006 Dash, and a 2001 Dash tower ladder. These vehicles represent decades of technological advancements in firefighting equipment, ensuring that the North Aurora Fire Protection District remains well-equipped to handle any emergency situation. Special thanks go out to Bill Friedrich and Larry Shapiro for providing these images, capturing the essence of the district’s commitment to service and readiness. Their contributions help paint a vivid picture of what it takes to keep the community safe. ---
