It is expected that the hourly radiant point of the zenith flow can reach more than 100.

As one of the three meteor showers in the Northern Hemisphere, which is known for its stable flow, the Perseid meteor shower ushered in the mid-August of each year. Its outbreak allows us to enjoy dozens of beautiful yellow-green meteors in an hour. The active period of the Perseid meteor shower can last from the middle of July to the end of August. In the days from August 11 to 15, the traffic is quite considerable. The moon phase of this year's great period is a chord, and observations of the first half of the night will not have moonlight disturbance.

According to the forecast of foreign meteor organizations, the maximum of Perseid meteor showers is likely to occur from August 20 to 22:30, Beijing time. It is expected that the hourly zenith flow (ZHR) can reach 100 or more. However, at 22 o'clock, the altitude of the radiation spot in most parts of China is still below 30 degrees, so the number of meteors that can be observed is less than half of the theoretical value of this forecast.
