According to the latest statistics of the China Automobile Industry Association’s “China Automotive Industry Production and Sales News,” in 2007, 54 domestic automobile engine companies that were included in the statistics of the industry accumulated production of 784.67 million sets of engines, an increase of 25.13% over the previous year; accumulated sales of 7.2238 million units, An increase of 24.4% over the previous year. According to the power meter, the total sales volume of gasoline engine enterprises in 2007 was 454.95 million kilowatts, an increase of 31.4% over 34.624 million kilowatts of the previous year; the increase in power output was 8 percentage points higher than the increase in output, indicating that the power of the produced gasoline engine has been improved .

Diesel engine production increased by more than 30%

It can be seen that at present, China's diesel engine has been relatively well applied in large and medium-sized commercial vehicles, but the promotion and application in the field of passenger vehicles are not so smooth. According to relevant data from the China National Automobile Association, China produced 2,805,000 diesel vehicles in 2007, including only 45,000 diesel passenger cars and 2.013 million diesel commercial vehicles.
