I just got word that Hanover Park responded to a structure fire at 1429 Fremont with a general alarm. Engine 361 was the first unit on the scene, and they found heavy smoke billowing from the building. The firefighters immediately deployed a hose line and managed to knock down the fire fairly quickly.
After the initial response, mutual aid was dispatched from Bloomingdale, Bartlett, Streamwood, and Roselle. Meanwhile, Hoffman Estates and Streamwood were placed in command (COQ). It was a coordinated effort, and everyone worked together to get the situation under control.
