Hey everyone,
Just got some updates from Fire Service, Inc. that I wanted to share with you. First up, the Westchester Fire Department has placed an order for a brand-new Wheeled Coach medium-duty ambulance. It’s going to come equipped with a solid 2014 Freightliner chassis—should be a real workhorse for them.
In other news, the Leyden Fire Protection District recently welcomed a shiny new Wheeled Coach Type III ambulance into their fleet. It’s always great to see these departments upgrading their resources to keep their communities safe. Meanwhile, the North Aurora Fire Protection District is expecting a new Wheeled Coach Type I ambulance any day now. This one’s built on a rugged Ford F450 4x4 chassis, which should handle all kinds of terrain. They’re expecting delivery sometime in November, so stay tuned for more details.
The Bensenville Fire Protection District also had some exciting news—they just picked up a 2011 Wheeled Coach Type I ambulance that was previously used as a demo unit by Fire Service. It’s great to see older models finding new homes where they can continue making a difference.
Over in Chicago Ridge, the fire department has ordered a 2014 Road Rescue medium-duty ambulance, this time mounted on a TerraStarc chassis. That’s sure to be another reliable addition to their fleet. And speaking of Road Rescue, the Beecher Fire Protection District has also placed an order for a new Type III ambulance from the same manufacturer.
Finally, the Schererville Fire Department has already taken delivery of their brand-new Road Rescue ambulance. It’s definitely a proud moment for them!
