Bosch Holds Injector Maintenance Skill Contest



In the two days from July 30 to July 31, 2012, Bosch China's first common rail injector maintenance skill contest was held at Bosch Yangzhou Technical Service Center. This event is also an important measure for Bosch to improve its after-sales service level and establish industry service standards.

The competition was led by two senior instructors Bosch as technical director and technical consultant, and invited two well-known university professors, Bosch common rail injector experts, and technical managers of Bosch Technical Service Center as the judges.

The participants were composed of senior technicians from 23 diesel system service centers (BDCs) in Bosch China, and invited the Bosch Diesel System Service Center in Hong Kong and Taiwan to visit and watch. The group represents the highest level of maintenance for China's diesel systems.

The competition is divided into two parts: written examination and practical operation. It will assess the theoretical knowledge of the diesel common rail system, common rail injector structure, fuel injector inspection and debugging, and the maintenance and debugging skills of injectors.

The work of common rail injectors is very demanding on the accuracy. All installations and inspections require the use of special Bosch tools. The entire process needs to follow the rules and regulations of Bosch injector maintenance. For some technical standards details, the judges will also pass Ask questions to ensure the specification of the player's operation. Finally, the results of the theory and practical exercises were comprehensively evaluated and the final three strong players were selected.

The professional level of the competition players has been recognized by on-site technical experts and judges, which is also a good opportunity for participants to exchange and upgrade.

At the same time, the 2012 Bosch diesel common rail component service technician certification activities are also carried out. This certification is also an assessment of Bosch after-sales service network, and thus continuously improves the service level of Bosch diesel aftermarket parts. Bosch's certification is very strict. Although more than 20 contestants participated in the service elites at each service station, only 8 players passed this certification.

For new service stations that have joined the after-sales service network, Bosch's requirements must be met in many aspects such as hardware and software. For such an important match, Yan Hong, manager of the Bosch Automotive Service Network Development Department, said that this is the first time that Bosch has held such a maintenance skill contest. With such a high level of competition, Bosch has set a benchmark for the diesel engine after-sales service industry.

Apart from directly replacing new fuel injectors, Bosch also provides maintenance services for remanufactured fuel injectors and injectors. The faulty injectors can still meet the technical requirements of injectors through rigorous inspection and maintenance, and this only requires about 50% of the price of the new injectors.
