The value of modified vehicles associated with special vehicles increased from 35.27 billion yuan in 2000 to 196.51 billion yuan in 2013. According to the data of the special car branch of China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, as of the end of July this year, there were 1,037 special-purpose vehicle manufacturers in China and 806 enterprises in production.
Experts believe that the special-purpose vehicle industry experienced structural adjustment decline in the first half of the year, and the engineering-type special vehicles were most affected by this decline. Although the transportation vehicles have a certain decline, they have generally stabilized. In the rapid development of the domestic logistics industry, transportation The trend of vehicle-like vehicles is still in a period of benign growth.
Wang Huanmin, secretary-general of the China Automobile Industry Association Special Vehicle Branch, said at the forum that the high-speed development of the special vehicle industry after the “Golden Decade” is basically in a highly positive correlation with the GDP growth rate. Economic growth is the fundamental driving force for the growth of demand for special vehicles.
Experts generally believe that China is currently in the development stage of specialized division of labor from coarse to fine. According to the latest economic classification of the National Bureau of Statistics, China's economic industry category has reached 20 mega-categories, nearly 100 major categories, and more than 1,000 sub-categories. The increased specialization of economic development will promote the demand for special vehicles.
At the same time, an important feature accompanying future economic development will be the shortage of cheap labor and rising wages, which will speed up the replacement of special vehicles with labor and provide a broad space for the demand of special vehicles.
Wang Huanmin said that the enthusiasm of investment vehicles in various provinces and cities is still high, and the high growth rate attracts the rapid inflow of large amounts of capital. In the market reality that the market capacity is becoming saturated and the incremental space is gradually decreasing, the competition of enterprises will also change from “sports competition” to “elimination”.
