In China's radial passenger tires, the "overload" and "long-distance" directions accounted for 90% of the total sales of heavy-duty tires. During the running of a car, overloading and overpressure simultaneously increase the mean value and amplitude of the force of the carcass cord, which intensifies the wear and corrosion of the steel cord and shortens the fatigue life of the carcass cord. For overloaded tires, stronger cords are needed to increase the strength of the carcass cord and the cord penetration properties need to be improved to reduce the corrosion of the cords.
