Every year at the beginning of the year, the United States will hold an exhibition called the International Consumer Electronics Show (hereinafter referred to as CES), which is not only the foremost gathering place for electronic products, but also a cutting-edge technology event. Last year, my colleague Zhang Ge went to the United States to cover the exhibition. When he returned, he always looked like the future.

CES arrived at the beginning of this year, but I missed the opportunity to go to the United States. Just as Zhang Ge once again “showed off” my last experience, I received an invitation from Asia CES in Shanghai...

Zhang Ge has told me many times before that the protagonist here is a variety of fresh technologies, inventions, gadgets, so after entering the exhibition hall, I had little selfishness and decided to simply stroll around to see the protagonists of these exhibitions. -Consumer electronics products.

After some simple browsing, I found that the exhibits did not seem to be as high, refined, and sharp as I had imagined. The shocking technology in Zhang Ge’s mouth may be absent from the reasons why the “visa” has not been completed. There was a voice in my heart telling me, "Or else, go to the N2 Hall to see what the car companies are bringing."

Although in the overseas CES show, the technology and products brought by the car companies can only appear on the supporting role, but this time they bring the technology to be absolutely tall. Due to the detailed display content of this exhibition, it has been interpreted before, so it will not be repeated here. However, here I still want to talk about something beyond the technical level. That is, although the car companies are all different in positioning, they all use smart driving, vehicles and wearable devices, and wireless charging as their main theme.

● Intelligent Autopilot

Not only overseas CES, but also just the end of the Shanghai auto show it is also a major technical protagonist. From a technical point of view, the active safety system currently sold in the market is considered to be the primary intelligent automatic driving technology, and some car companies have already started testing the intelligent automatic driving technology on the open roads in Europe and North America.

Similarly, Mercedes-Benz, which has invested a lot in autopilot technology, is much more “pragmatic” than it used to be. In 2013, a modified Mercedes-Benz S500 was safely opened from Stuttgart to Frankfurt with smart autopilot technology. Although the city streets do not have the same track as how the computer controls the limits of the vehicle, its complexity may not be simple at all.

The successful completion of the S500 challenge has led many people to believe that automatic driving will soon come to us. In fact, this technology has a long way to go before it is popularized. The traffic environment in different countries and regions is quite different. For the current stage of autonomous driving technology, it cannot fully judge and make decisions based on road conditions.

In other words, the autopilot technology at this stage does not have the same capabilities as the artificial AI. All the judgements made are to compare the existing conditions with the information bases previously stored in the system, and then select the most appropriate treatment method. . Therefore, this requires R&D personnel to enter a large number of different regions, different traffic conditions, and people's handling methods for the system. Mercedes-Benz will bring their test vehicles to collect Chinese road conditions.

Problems such as perfecting operational logic, collecting information on multiple road conditions, and so on, are all conquered by R&D personnel, and there are still many ways to go before they are actually mass-produced. If we adjust the driving experience that everyone feels comfortable, how to compress We haven’t found any answers to the questions of equipment size, how to reduce misjudgments, etc. at the show.

● Smart wearable devices

If the smart autopilot feeling mentioned above is still a bit high, then the wearable device must be grounded. Previously, the Android operating system camp launched a wearable device headed by Moto 360 and Samsung GearFit. Subsequently, Apple also launched the Apple Watch. Naturally, car companies will not make a market this cake. No matter how they care, we recently heard a lot of car companies develop related apps. At this CES, we saw Anjixing also started to get involved in this area.

● Wireless charging

Just a few days before CES was launched, Beijing announced that the number of new energy vehicles was not limited. This is another good news after the shake-free policy. However, the current charging of hybrid electric vehicles with pure electric vehicles is still not convenient. Most people live in environments where charging piles are not installed. What should be better?

In order to avoid the shackles of the line, many car companies have launched non-contact charging, which is what we often call wireless charging. However, wireless charging also has its own shortcomings, that is, the problem of low charging efficiency. If you use a home 220V physical line to fully charge your new energy car for 8 hours, if you choose wireless charging, this time will be extended by at least one third.

In addition, for a non-contact charging system, the charging efficiency of the power supply coil and the power receiving coil may be affected if they are staggered or separated by a distance. After calculation, when the lateral deviation of the vehicle is within 10cm, the longitudinal deviation is within 5cm, and the angle deviation is less than 2°, the system can only be charged with an efficiency of 80-90%. The actual use means that the vehicle is parked. The fact that it must stop is very positive, which is tantamount to an increase in trouble for drivers who are not skilled enough in parking technology. However, the technologies displayed by Audi at the CES show may change this situation.
